Quillback Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Four guys with 22 lb. bags, pretty impressive. http://www.flwoutdoors.com/bassfishing/bfl/tournament/2013/6975/table-rock-lake-boater-results/
Bill Babler Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Pretty exiciting stuff. One of the co-anglers had over 20 pounds, and another one over 17 pounds. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
RSBreth Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I really wanted to fish this one but couldn't. Good to see them catching them pretty good though.
Champ188 Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Our old gal ... Table Rock, not Donna ... is really kicking out some big sacks. Good to see the fishery in such fine shape. I know not everyone is catching them but that is the nature of the beast this time of year. You either find or em or you don't. Derby results bear that out if you look down the line past the first few places. Congrats to all who caught em and cashed ind yesterday.
Members sholder02 Posted March 10, 2013 Members Posted March 10, 2013 I fished it on the co-angler side and what's more impressive is one of the 22# bags was only 4 fish! The 17# bag on the co-angler side was only 4 fish, as well. The boater had 2 fish over 8#s. Every person that was in the top 5 on both the boater and co side, caught all their fish on the A-Rig. I took 3rd and felt pretty fortunate to be placed there with 14.7#s.
Bill Babler Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 If you look at the BLF results from around the country for the past two weeks, Table Rock is way out in front. This weekend we just blew it up Biggest bag I have seen since February 1st. came from Sam Rayburn, with a dude weighing 5 fish that weighed 36 pounds 7 oz. In February Lake Guntersville had a fish on the Angler side that weighed 11.07 and the dude did not will the derby. A co-angler in the same derby weighed in a 13.11. Good Times for the Rock, but it still remains just a few bites per day. They are big however. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Sprint21fter Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I will add to the not very many bites category but the bites you get are good ones. I fun fished with a club guy Saturday out of Baxter and with me fighting the wind he caught 2 solid 3.5 lbers and I caught another one just like it. However, the other 6 bites we had were non-keepers. When we put the boat on the trailer there was a jackpot that was finishing up out of the H-HWY ramp at Big Indian and found out that the winner of their little tourney was a little over 20lbs but they had 10lber for big fish. They caught it on an A-rig as well. All our fish bit a 1/2oz jig and bomber crankbait in natural craw.
Champ188 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Hope that 10-pounder was well cared for and released. I've seen my share of jackpots where it might have ended up on someone's wall. Just sayin.
Sprint21fter Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Don't know what he did with the fish hopefully he let her go so she could drop some of those eggs when its time.
Lvn2Fish Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I fished this tournament, I finished 26th, w/ 12.06. 3 oz from a check. I went into this thing with the intent to catch a limit. I didn't care what size the limit was just as long as I held my own and got some points in the first one. I had been practicing down there every weekend for ever. I never got on the A-rig bite. Hence why I only had twelve pounds. Only two of my fish came on the rig, they were both late in the day. One smallmouth about three, the other a nice fatty spotty that would have gone 2.5. The rig bite is something I have zero confidence in, and I wasn't about to hang my whole day on it. I took what the lake gave me and only picked it up after I had my limit. There is a good bite going down by the dam with the brown fish on a rouge. And a random bait I stumbled on last weekend. A Texas rigged Senko. The brown fish are loving it. My father had one on it last weekend that was darn near five. So for all you peeps out there like me, who don't like fishing the rig, there is hope. You just have to put your head down and fish hard, good things will happen. Feel free to ask any question's that arise. It is a pretty solid pattern, just not a lot of size. I probably won't fish the rock until May. I'm looking really forward to Lake of the Ozarks. I did well up there last year in the BFL's. Hopefully she will be good to me again. Good Fishin, Cody
