chambug Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 We like to keep it simple: Gut some fresh trout, put it on a doublw layer of aluminum foil with the edges curled up. Pour a mixture of lemon juice and melted butter all over it, with whatever spice you like. Cook over any kind of fire or in the oven.. When the upside looks done (when the skin begins to curl), flip it over and cook the flipside about half as lomg as the other. Serve with fresh veggies, and a baked potato. After you sit around a few minutes talking about how good it was, serve up some keylime pie.

(The cloves do the trick) Beef tongue is just about the best part of the cow. I also like beef heart, but not nearly as much as tongue. The old mountain men loved buffalo tongue.
