How does your garden grow?

Crazy weather, what's going to happen? Temp right now is 87 and plummet tonight and tomorrow with snow showers Thursday night. Maybe a half inch. We have a great stand of lettuce. Black seeded Simpson, butter crunch, romaine, spinach and select mix. Some radishes too. Eating a bunch of salad. Pretty nice. Have tomatoes and peppers started too plus some Brussels sprouts. Have had them all started for a while but out for a day or two then back inside. Would really like to get them into the ground like they should be. Had a visit with a farmer friend of mine. He had all his corn and some of his early beans by this time last year. Nothing so far is in the ground for him this season. Here is a couple of photos of what is growing here. Going to roll the plastic back on the bed this evening for the weather coming in,

You are right Tho1mas they are going to be pretty late this season and I am getting tired of the junk they call tomatoes in the store.

Scott is a long drive but you can pick and graze in the lettuce patch anytime you want!

Nice setup. It does appear you have a lot of cool weather stuff going and you should be fine.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I mudded in some maters, peppers, and cucumber plants today before the next monsoon sets in. I figured I better buy my plants before they are all gone.

Potatoes are doing great. Few radishes. Spinach and lettuce planted on Valentines day still floundering at about 2 inches hi. Strawberries are blooming and setting berries good this year.

Similar to my setup Billethead. I like the idea of the chicken wire over the hoops. I've just been laying the plastic over the hoops, which requires pretty sturdy clamping at the corners to keep it from sagging in. Man -- that's a lot of salad you've got going there.

I put the maters and peppers in last weekend, even though the weather said it was gonna get cold. They were still in cells and starting to suffer from it. Covered them all up Wednesday night.

I got a little late start on peas, onions, spinach, lettuce and other cool weather stuff in the ground. Transplanted some lettuce and chard last weekend. Trying to stagger out the lettuce so I don't get it all at once.

Yes the chicken wire saved the crop. If it wasn't there the wet snow would of ripped the plastic and caved in. I have conduit clamps on one side so I can just raise it, prop it for weeding. Keeps the rabbits and deer out also. I sure hope this is the last crazy weather event so I can fill everything else. Like you my starter plants don't look well. I may go ahead and get them in the ground, cover with five gallon buckets and hope for the best,
