LarrySTL Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Many years ago one morning up the Tebo arm of Truman Lake two black helicopters appeared and a dozen or so guys in strange uniforms fast roped down onto one of the islands up there in the lake and were running around with spooky looking guns. I could not make this up. At the time I naively assuming it was something the US military was practicing because of the indescribable amount of nuclear weaponry at and around Whiteman AFB. Now I realize it must have been UN troops sent in as part of the plot to take over our rivers and lakes. If we just give them Carlyle Lake, perhaps they would call it even ? http://intervenehere.com

awhuber Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I tend to think this is all much ado about nothing. Looks like it's going to go away. Thanks to all who called their county commissioners, State reps, State Sens. and federal Reps and Sens and your local ngos! http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/M/MO_BLUEWAY_BACKLASH_MOOL-?SITE=MOCAP&SECTION=STATE&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

awhuber Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Another win for agribusiness. And campgrounds and canoe rentals!
Coldspring Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 This letter explained some of the non-involvment of Missouri based organizations and agencies. I kept wondering why the Missouri Nature Conservacny, Missouri State Parks / DNR, and Missouri Department of Conservation weren't mentioned. The rumor of the 180 foot riparian buffer based on the lower White River basin wildlife area plans that would supposedly remove by force campgrounds and canoe rentals, even White River Landing, Dawt Mill and Gaston's, was one noticed the most about this Agenda 21 United Nations land crab. http://jamesriverbasin.wordpress.com/2013/06/27/from-the-directors-desk-a-national-blueway-lost/
Justin Spencer Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 And campgrounds and canoe rentals! maybe, but if they take my land then I can relax a little! Brian Sloss Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 It will be interesting to see what happens in Conn. where the designation is in tact. I'd like to see if they get improvement grants, if the river-way improves, if tourism increases and if the various agencies become more efficient working together. I'd also like to see if UN forces invade our friends in New England and claim the watershed for the rest of the world. Haha. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Al Agnew Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Sometimes the gullibility of people still amazes me. And the willful ignorance saddens me.
