fishingaddiction Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'll get off of this pursuit now but, fyi, response I received from Yamamoto was minimum order for remake of discontinued colors is 350 bags. Let's see if I can figure that one out @ 20/bag, somewhere around 7,000 grubs. Best get a new favorite. Heck, even one of my fishing buddies name on his email is "silvergrub". Later That is hard to believe that they have to produce that many to bring back a dis continued color...........amazing! Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
fishingaddiction Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 FYI. The pond scum perch is out of their Kinami line and is sku K7L-11-K849 for the 5" Kut Tail style worm. It's a keeper! TRL, thanks for your post about the pond scum perch, and the other color you use in the Kut Tail worm. I'll have to add those to my worm supply. Congrats on sacking them up the other day on the shaky head. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Bill Babler Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 We had zoom make us some soft-plastic's a few years ago on a color that they had in other worms. They said at that time the minimum run was 600 bags. We bought a thousand bags and they jumped right on it. I only have about 10 of my share left. I sold them to my clients after our fishing days. Wish I had been a little more frugal. I had 200 bags. Long winded way of saying to put of a group of guys together that wants a product and you can probably get it. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Well you can sign me up for 5 bags Anyone have a contact at BPS?
Guest Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I'm sure there's a way to get custom colors without a minimum purchase order. That's if you can get a member to pour them for you. I know a guy that might be interested. I think 20 bags would get you in the door. Just a thought

As Bill notes, if you use a lot of them, 350 bags sounds like a ton of baits, but they go fast, especially the way GYCB tears up. I'd take them up on it if it was a color I felt I had to have.
Members tse90 Posted May 15, 2013 Members Posted May 15, 2013 Just got home from Fin and Feather in Springfield for the first time. Went in there to replenish my grub supply and get a few other things. They have the smoke with red flake in stock but only have a few bags left in each of the 10 pack and the 100 pack. Met John and he was a very nice guy who knew his stuff. If you're in Springfield I would definitely go there first before anywhere else.
*T* Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 TrophyFishR, 20 Bags? I am very interested. Thanks, "Water is the driving force of all Nature." -Leonardo da Vinci
