dtrs5kprs Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Pulling those can't be a quick job. You'd think someone might have noticed the act. Wonder if there is some way to lock them from the back side.
jmes Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 That definately sucks, I agree I hope karma gets them real good
Members Topwater TRL Posted May 31, 2013 Members Posted May 31, 2013 I feel your pain. I lost a complete champ trailer a few yrs back and ever since have the trailer latch locked with a quality lock. Then keep ur fingers crossed that doesn't piss them off to a point they take a hammer to your stuff. Topwater TRL
powerdive Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Sounds like you need to set up video surveillance, Bill.
Feathers and Fins Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Don't know if this is an option for you Bill, but I had a friend having issues like this who was a guide in FL. He mounted a game-cam in the back window of his truck in 6 months and caught several and even caught his buddies dropping off Birthday Gag Gifts. He still does it and still catches people though now his friends put cardboard over his back window before pulling pranks. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

I guess they are going to have to put some type of a locking screw with a special wrench into the side of those things. Just what we need is another tool. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
johnboy2bfishin Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I feel for you Bill, i didn't have hubs stolen but have had parts taken off motor before along with prop. Finally caught the jack nut and he won't be stealing anything soon. Just hard as heck to replace some of it. On your hubs with them being virtually maintenance free almost be worth making the castle nut on the spindle. That would slow them down and force them to move along. Bad side is when you would have to service them then it would require some grinding and steady hand.but i have seen it done on other types of hubs. Just need to put hub on like manufacture require then once you have the castle nut in place and locked in with cotter pin, this is what to do take flat washers and shim until flush with end of axle and tack last washer twice to axle. To remove it would require some work and possibly have to chase the threads but it has been effective . Just an idea.
Bill Babler Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 bill sry about the loss but on a lighter note fred said he would go ahead and put my cost for repairs on your tab this morning after you left great guy that fred Ya I'm sure I would not notice. I had a day off and it was just time to get a few things done. The hub deal was a throw in extra. I just cannot say enough good things about Ulrich Marine, and Fred, Janet and their staff. They are there to assist with a smile no matter how stupid and how irresponsible you have treated your equipment. They just fix it and get you back on the water. I'm not done with them. Upcoming post is on the way. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
