Whenever the weather allows me to get out, I'm at work. When I'm not at work, I'm stuck doing life chores because I'm behind due to the weather. When I'm not at work and have no chores, the weather sucks. I can't wait to become one of "them" and eliminate one of these issues. I either hate the weather or retirees. The weather will change, but these guys aren't going back to work.

:yuush:

Until then, keep the reports coming so "we" can live through "you". Lucky bastards :innocent:

Everyone that is retired that I talk to tells me they work more now than they did when they working!

I feel your frustration but you have to think about what you have, Wife, kids, mortgage. For a younger person the other option is to have nothing, maybe live in a van down by the river. I guess the trick is to find some balance between having a normal life and having a fishing life.

Had a guy retire from here a few years back. Nice party and all. Wife put him to work redoing the bathroom. He finished it, said 'screw this' and came back to work :D

Ha Ha Ha,...you are like me. No matter what schedule I work, it always rains when I am off. Or on sunny days, I am mowing.

But really, anyone who can retire, should. My best fishing buddy waited a few years to retire. He had all kinds of plans made, Okeechobee in January, Kentucky Lake in June. He retired in January of that year , felt bad in March, diagnosed with leukemia in May. Did the chemo, radiation, bone marrow battle for a year and a half. before he past away. He only got in a few local days on the water. I will say that God was smiling on us those days,. The fish bit well and were on our spots even after a cold front. I still wish we could have had a few more of those.

So to all those Retirees , I say live it up, Catch a bunch for us!! Just send pics and give us a few tips when we do get to go.

Sad story. That's it, I'm loading the boat tonight and going fishing while I still can.
