If you really want to be informed, and, no two ways about it, shocked, just read the results of any states' legislative record. The absolute ignorance, greed, petty grandstanding, and downright cheating and lying is on display for all too see and read.

Yet. We do nothing.

We accept this behavior as a matter of course.

We do nothing. We are not outraged.

We get the government we deserve.

Big 10-4 on that JoeD.

Our (Arkansas) last session was just downright embarassing. Term limits sound good in theory, but mainly they just serve to keep a fresh stock of morons running the state - that and the folks who are inteligent enough to actually do a good job won't do it anymore. Years ago the legislature used to be packed full of lawyers for better or worse, but at least they spent more time on legislation that actually worked (and was constitutional) than the current crop. Now it seems like they spend more time trying to pass incredibly controversial and incredibly unconstitutional laws in an effort to make a name for themselves than they do actually serving the folks who elected them.

totally agreed.....only uber libs wouldn't be able to see through the tongue n cheek of his post......and anyone who supports the crap that has come down the pipe recently is just a loyalist to the state

I think Jerry just adds a comment sometimes just to sit back and watch the fireworks. Kind of like his friends' state record bass on April fools day.
Keep posting Jerry!

Yeah, I started to agree by saying something about the MO legislature passing laws to prevent the state from allowing Sharia Law, but I won't. :)

Unfortunately, the morons to which you refer are doing exactly what the morons that elected them want them to do.

When I said state I meant the feds, also I do support some laws that are passed but, none pertaing to the implementation of sharia law or using it as a platform to push your point of view. To assume I am against any or all laws is silly......I am just an individual who believes in the constitution and feels our government is bloated and broke.

That's where you are incorrect I have always had a dis taste for the federal government.....weak butt attempt to insinuate that I only hate the feds because of Barry Soetoro....laughable.

Smallie,

You know Chief is stirring the soup. Don't flavor the pot.

Al, I'm not sure what your stance is on sharia law or how it relates to our state legislature??? could you expound???? I wouldn't think anyone would want to have sharia law apply to anything in the USA unless you insist foreign religious laws apply here.
