Oh and this is about the best political conversation ive had in years... Wish our own politicians would see it and relies people can be civil and talk through things not just play party lines.

That was hilarious. I can see the lines very clearly. Especially right before you posted.

As far as I'm concerned, there's a number of psuedonyms that would be more appropriate for the DEA head(s) than Czar, but it is what it is, and they sure don't seem to mind.

Out of curiousity, I just site-searched the DOJ website for the word Czar to see how they used it themselves. 158 hits, mostly press releases, some going back to the '80s. Interestingly, the state-level heads also get called Czars, indicative more of an inbred, group-hug type of "pluralarchy" than anything in the traditional sense. For the terminally curious;

FWIW, I know a guy that used to have a lock on Bentonville and surrounding area's trash pickup & hauling. We called him the Bob the Trash Czar, much to everyone's amusement (but his).

ADDED

Seems the GAO has already addressed the legality of the matter. Case closed;

Well, lookey who's out to derail this by getting personal. You just can't help yourself, can you?

Personal?

Pointing out that the political lines are very evident is getting personal?

Yep -- but keep working on it. We can tell you're trying. "E" for effort, and all that.

Your C&R post started out pretty good too, then you slipped. This won't happen overnight! Just give it your best shot!

Here is what getting personal looks like.

You, Ness, are an F'ing idiot.

Nerver in any of the post that you said I made it personal, did I ever mention anyone. Not even close. That is kind of a key point in getting personal.

Nerver? I do believe the self-proclaimed 'Chief' is rattled. As for the pre-Chief topic at hand:

Al -- I've got to agree with you. There's an awful lot of stuff to be concerned about, but the slang name "Czar" sure isn't one of them. I'd bet the founding fathers would get a chuckle out of the concern over that.

And, yeah, 501( c)4's need to be scrutinized, as do 501( c)3's and all the rest. If you want to be tax exempt, you gotta play by the rules and expect to have a little higher hurdle than the rest. From what I'm seeing, there was a reasonable suspicion that the Tea Party groups might be trying to skirt the rules. But, add to that good old human nature, and it could go awry pretty easily. As with so much of this, it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. It's gonna be a while before the dust settles and the closest thing we'll ever get to the truth is revealed. I'm pretty patient though.

Sorry about that Ness. Typo's happen to the humble. But don't confuse me trying give you a clue about what being personal is with being rattled.

And I will admit I surprised that as for the rest of your post, I agree completely.

No doubt the truth will come out Ness. But for me the overall feeling is that the country is moving in the wrong direction in almost every front except the environment. I have virtually no faith in our elected officials on either side. What's right is now wrong, what's wrong is now right. Not a good sign.

I'm not going to get too excited anymore... Just have fun with my family and fish as much as possible.
