Just read a story about a man named Gary Jones from Poplar Bluff cheating in a tourney. Is this recent or old news. Can't find date of story when i pulled it up.

I believe that was from 2007. I did some searching and found some dated articles from then.

Still a good read, and always an interesting topic of conversation.

Several of the guys I fish with are great, honest anglers, and well respected. But when the topic of cheating comes up; they're none too thrilled about the topic.......I realize it's a black eye on the sport....but,.burying our heads in the sand on the topic won't make it go away.

Didn't mean to stir anything up. Just trying to find a story they were talking about on sports radio today about a nan arrested in Maryland for cheating in a tourney. Tried looking it up and that came up.

Anytime there is money or large prizes involved cheating is a possiblty. Most of the larger tournaments with sizable prizes use a lie dector test in an attempt to keep honest people honest. But it does goes on, there is always someone who will try it in some shape or form to win..
