Feathers and Fins Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 It has been a year since my heart attack and just heard back from the doctor on my 1 year check-up. When I had my heart attack I was at 252 pounds, now im at 212. That’s 40 pounds in a year and I haven’t seen 212 since my 20’s! I’m feeling great and sleeping all the way through the night now back pain is nothing like it use to be and I’m feeling better than I have in 15 years or more. The labs and Blood work came back today and everything is at normal levels now where last year it was critical! My biggest enemy is going to be the Heat of summer as it was the small arteries that were the culprit and nonstentable so I will always have to watch heat and how much I do in it and with meds and continued diet meds and exercise complete recovery is possible. Even if you think you are healthy as I thought I was go see a doctor and get tested the life you save WILL be your own. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

BilletHead Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Muuummmmm coffee is good and smokes are bad! Glad you are doing well Scott. fishinwrench Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 I just got my heart check-up last week..... Chopped up an old oak stump with a splitting maul in the mid-day heat. Heart felt like it was gonna pound out of my chest and I didn't collapse, so I must be ok. Cheaper than a doctor AND I leveled the pesky termite ridden stump. Win/Win.
Members Tully Posted June 23, 2013 Members Posted June 23, 2013 The wake up call scare gets a little easier each year. I was afraid to sneeze after mine 11 years ago. Still working on getting off the smokes but at least I quit for a few months each year. One of these days it'll take hold. Best of luck to you and great job on weight loss. Tully
