RSBreth Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Here you go - just assemble them with blades and a skirt and you're good to fish.http://lurepartsonline.com/Shop-By-Category/Buzzbait-Heads/Double-Arm-Buzzbait-Heads.html They're plenty slow and very loud. Better (and cheaper) than most of the ready to go buzzbaits out there.
Guest Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I still use Lunker Lures-but change out the skirts- but they seem to be better for LM. I got a few old ones off Ebay and tied them to a fan and they are some squeakers. If you can find any in a copper blade I'd pick em up. The Cavitron 3/8 oz in gold blade, white skirt is a good buzzbait for smallies. Been thinking of giving this one a try as Picasso makes quality stuff, http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Picasso_Buzz_Saw_Buzzbait/descpage-PBSBB.html Lunker lure was my go to buzz bait in the 80'&90's It had the counter rotating blades I didn't know they were still around. I do remember having to break them in bc they were hard to turn out of the package.
Guest Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Go to A to Z Sporting Goods, something like that, I know it is A To Z, on old 71 north of Alma. They have just what you are looking for. I got some double bladed buzzbaits there last year. Good prices on them and they are made in Arkansas. In fact they have a ton of fishing stuff made in Arkansas. Check them out. Thanks chief, My wife loves their stores. I've seen that rack of baits, it's pretty impressive

Brian Jones Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I use pretty much one buzzbait. It is made by a friend of mine who lives in Belle. Not sure what he does to them, but they have a squeal that for some reason just cannot be duplicated. He isn't stingy with them, but he doesn't advertise either.
Members Papermouth King Posted August 17, 2013 Members Posted August 17, 2013 Sure do love my lunker lure buzzbaits, and another one I like is the head knocker by Crock O Gator.
joeD Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Buzzbaits are or should be, a dime a dozen. Hook, skirt, piece of cheap tin. Everything else is marketing. If you want noise, attach a fan or a radio to the end of your line. As long as there is hook dangling somewhere, you have a chance. After all, WE all know what fish want. Fish want a multi-billion dollar industry to catch them. We know nothing.

If I want to support the economy by paying $8 for a buzzbait that's my prerogative. After all, life's not just about saving a dime or spending one either.
