UnCivE Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Didn't we just have a thread about using laguage like HNIC? How does any of this even relate to this story? Seconded. The racist bs is not necessary or appreciated.
NoLuck Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 I kinda figured this would land home around here as it has been a heated topic in the past. Maybe some good will come out of this somehow. The gray area around private land and public waters is a touchy subject it seems. When all the details come out then we can all decide how to avoid what happened.
Mitch f Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 We don't know the full story yet, although I admit my first reaction is to blame the shooter. Unless some dude was throwing lethal size rocks at my wife or child, I would have just ran away and followed him down the river to the takeout and had the cops waiting for him. ness Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 If I carried a gun with me I promise you I would have shot several people by now, therefore I don't tempt fate. That right there is the heart of the issue. When there are guns around, a little rock chucking, smack talking, wife ogling, can turn into something deadly. Smalliebigs -- I had to Google that term to be sure it was what I figgered it was. I'm pretty surprised to see that in this forum. That's downright wrong to use anywhere, especially here. This forum sure has taken a nasty turn the last couple months. It's sure not what it used to be. John
Guest Brian B. Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Maybe POTUS should stop acting like one then? (Just a thought) I wake up this morning to the news on the TV of him stoking up the baiters again- this POTUS is a race baiter, plain and simple. Act like one, wear the term. I call him HNIC daily- he has earned it, and continues to- we should put his face on the food stamp, he is the food stamp POTUS. "FREE"Phone anyone? Justin and Ness- WOW... Justin doubles down on helplessness, and Ness gives the attaboy- WOW... 2008/2012, we have learned nothing... Ness, just for you, thanks all, BRIAN MICHAEL BOYER signing off. (Snivelling..)"His avatar. Is so offenseive... Its, its..... Its racist.." (Whaaa...)
Old plug Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Justin it is not the Wild West YET. Unless we all learn how to co exist we are going to have a class war in the country that will make dodge city seem like romper room.
Guest Brian B. Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Class warfare- yep, it would seem that is what some are hoping to trigger via Jessie and Al. (A pathetic display of "leadership") It would be much easier to keep off the political stuff if the Libbys on here would stop trying to plant small seeds quietly and walk away as if no one is supposed to notice. I have no problem staying politically neutral, but when a Lib drops a bomb like that you just have to expect someone to "check" him on it and point out how rediculous the "feelings" based logic is. If we are to keep OA non- political its a team effort. Its a two way street. Posts like Justin's first in this thread- will not go unanswered. (No matter how many more "feelings" based thinkers chime on in) If you guys want a Politically neutral OA than by gosh keep it politically neutral. (And the correct term is "UFHNIC"
Justin Spencer Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I don't live life in fear and therefore don't feel like I need to always carry a weapon to be safe. If sometime I get beat up or killed because I'm not packing heat so be it, I guess I was wrong. Let's wait and see what actually happened in this case and then we can intelligently discuss it. As for you Brian, just because you believe something doesn't make you right. I guess if we were all as smart as you the world would be a much better place. Try opening your mind a little and think for yourself, don't believe everything the far left, or far right is preaching. Both sides are idiots. Quillback Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 I don't see the liberal bias in Justin's responses. Choosing not too carry a firearm makes you a liberal?? I consider myself to be a fiscal conservative, and a gun rights advocate, but I don't carry concealed. I might someday, and I want to have the legal right to do so if I choose. Am I now a liberal?
