I heard that it was a family on a sand bar and an argument broke out about the sand bar being part of the river or not..... Shot him in front of his family.

All gossip at this point though

Thanks to the moderating team for stepping in. I try my very best to leave politics out of my posts. Good thing because my views of them might start and angry monkey poo slinging match :secret-laugh: no one should have to clean up that kinda mess LOL.

Gentlemen,

The climate on this forum in regards to politics and race has heated up in the last month to the point I'm ready to give some of you "timeouts". Seriously... this has no place on this fishing forum. I've banned politics in the past but let it slide because cooler heads prevailed for a time but I guess it's the heat of summer that's brought out the worse in some of you.

Believe me, I don't want to nanny sit the board and nit pic subjects and conversations - I should not have to. But if I have to ban members, new ones or old ones, to solve this issue I guess I may have to.

No more cussing. No more acronyms. No more race based topics or posts because no one here has any good answers and no one here can post anything that will do anyone any good in the matter.

Amen.

So judging by the picture, the sand bar looks like its in the channel of the river, not so much on the owners property. Unless This is an old photo. I can't wait to hear the results.

Just a question for you seasoned floaters here. Is there a "law" the states where the river ends and the personal property begins? Back home it was the the bank was public use property as long as it was void of plantlife ( grass, weeds, bushes, etc ) Gravel, dirt, rock, sand banks were public use areas. If I remember correctly, there was also a portage right around debris. If a tree was across the river, you were alowed onto private property. I believe the limit was up to 6 feet from the waters edge. Now this was some 20 years ago, back in Wa. State. Seems a few clear cut laws here would be in order. But there again people break laws every day. STAY SAFE EVERYONE

Navigable Waters act. It gets kinda tricky in interpretation. There have been numerous discussions about this here and other places as well. I'm not really sure if it is worth aguing over unless you know first hand with regards to experience from a previous run in with the law stating you were right.
