moguy1973 Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Good thing you went last weekend and not this weekend. Doesn't quite look like that right now. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

Mitch f Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Too bad I cant find the pic but the Big Piney near the Fort is where the biggest Missouri smallmouth I've ever seen photographed was caught. Some hefty guy in fatigues is hoisting this fish up for the pic. It's got to be 24"... I still dream there are fish that big on that stream "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Al Agnew Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Mitch, our buddy Corey caught one floating with me one day through the fort that was a good 21 inches, right at the mouth of Stone Mill Spring. That was maybe ten years ago. I'd like to think there are still some big ones there, too.
Smalliebigs Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Mitch you and I have both seen the pic you are refering to and have talked about it....and now it's like the White Wale, I searched all night on google and can't find it. I am going to find that thing....at first glance you would think it's too big but, looking at the guys hand it doesn't look shoped....Mitch is right it looks to be the biggest I have seen on camera from a Missouri river, just looking at the guy's hand compared to the fish.
