Bird Watcher Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 That goes both ways Marty! More than once you've made my trigger finger or casting arm start twitching. I sure do appreciate the friendship though.
Greasy B Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I have been subtracting 20% from the length and quanity of whatever my brother catches for so long it's now second nature. It really doesn't matter to either of us who got the biggest or most. Regardless of the actual results every trip ends with one of us saying "this is the best day of fishing I ever had". Now we are very competitive when it come to the Man Points System, you know, loose a fish because of a bad knot 10 points off, break a rod 20 points off, run out of beer or forget the coffee on an overnighter 100 points off. Of course all this is in jest and quickly forgotten in time for the next trip. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Feathers and Fins Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Marty there are a few people on here that are notorious for doing that ( no names given ). I myself am a saint and would never do that to anyone. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
BilletHead Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 You are a funny man Scott! I thought of you too. Helping some of us, you know that and not the outdoing part:) I kind of need your e-mail so I can share some of the secret outdoing stuff . BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead

Feathers and Fins Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Na EG its torment in fishing and hunting. Especially when a couple people are catching big bass and know you are in a tourney and they send you pics to show what they are getting lol https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Kelroy Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Fin-n-Feather, a little off-topic, but i read with great sympathy about your seed tick misadventure. Thought i'd pass along my favorite anti-tick weapon- carry an adhesive lint-roller. Peels 'em right off your clothing, skin, even when they're stuck on. Plus, it's really satisfying to roll a couple hundred on a sheet, then fold it shut and seal them in there. Works great. ~K
John Andrews Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I fish for ME. It dont matter if my buddy out does me. I have my own way of fishing. On top water baits, I dont get out done often. My style of how I use a lure might be odd to some, but I can really haul them in. My texas rig worm style is different from any other person I have watched. But it gets fish in the boat, Bottom line is, let those one uppers talk all they want. If you are fishin for YOU, what does it matter what they are sayin
