Shame on you chief, don't you know that all you got to do is use one of these and you will win millions of dollars fishing tournaments.............Well of course that's true I read it on the internet and you can't put anything that's not true on the internet................That's what I was told.....I think.............

BTW, my comment on it being a "steal" was tongue in cheek. It's probably a good bait, but there are cheaper alternatives.

Berkley Flicker Shad comes to mind. Or Spro McRip. Or River2Sea Susp Minnow 88 or Jerkshad. All half or ever a quarter of the price of the MB.

In another thread QB is running a poll on whether a new bait would outfish a Wiggle Wart. Instead of sullying that thread with my smart-butt reply, I think this would be a better place for it:

I don't think it's expensive or exotic enough to turn the tide of opinion. A $6 Strike King??? Meh--just another me-too bait. No "investment" needed. Now, take the same bait, stamp a Spro or Megabass or Jackyl or even Lucky Craft brand on it, triple the price, and suddenly you've created the new magic bait. Believers will be jumping out of the woodwork before it ever hits the water...

Sorry, maybe I worked in the tackle industry too long.

The bottom line is you fish what works for you ... from a $4 Academy bait to a $20 (on up to $40) Megabass, and that differs from person to person and from day to day. Before anyone labels me a defender of the premium lures, I personally embrace the $7 Luck-E-Strike jerk baits, with some $12-$14 Spro McSticks sprinkled in.

I do own some Megabass baits and I've had more quality problems with them than any other brand. A suspending jerk bait is a tedious creation and some never work right out of the package. I can understand how that can happen in mass production, although I can understand it a lot more at $7 a whack than $25.

Looks like a fancy flicker shad, prolly a better crank...but i doubt it would out fish one 6 to 1 to justify the cost difference. Dont throw too many cranks unless im trollin with em, but those flicker shads are monsters!

They should call themselves Mega bucks.
