Between Steve on roller skates selling washers and dryers and "Uncle Leonard" Muntz, we sure had some memorable characters back in the day. Remember when "crossing the bridge" to go to St. Charles to buy fireworks or to Ken Bender Buick Pontiac was a big deal?

Joe, I don't think it matters where you went to school in the 70's, all lunch ladys looked like that. :)

So did the gals in the office....oh wait, the gals in the office WERE the lunch ladys.

Remember that paddle with the 3/8" holes in it? You heard it whistle, then WHAPP! Again, and again, and again.... (don't cry)

And in town it was well known when they came home at night their fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them within inches of their lives

Gawd, Middle School was a perverts dream! We took showers ALL the time. Especially before swimming. And after swimming. Play mat ball in the gym for 5 minutes, "SHOWER!"

Uh. Never mind.

Oy. Then again, we had feathered hair, Olds Cutlass's, girls with feathered hair, 74 Mustang Fastbacks, greasy skin, the pleasure of drinking stolen beer, making out to Bob Seger's "Main Street" in Carol B...s basement, walking with your friends on the railroad tracks to Cor Jesu's picnic, french kissing with random girls, girls wearing cut-off Levis in an un-ironic manner, Foghat "Slow Ride," walking, walking, walking everywhere....

Well, this thread is aptly named.

Also makes me feel old...we made out with girls to the sounds of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, or the Righteous Brothers.

We listened to that stuff too but called as oldies and not current smash hits. :secret-laugh:

Well, we all know how to fish, we all know about equipment. Whats left for fisherman to talk about. Sometimes you need a strange post or this would be a boring forum. I find myself struggling to make up a good thread subject but someone has to do it right!! :) it's kind of like the marketing team at Taco Bell..... There are only so many new products you can create with Ground beef, beans and cheese. ( oh yeah, I have a great idea, we'll stuff a taco inside a burrito and fry it!)
