Al Agnew Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Interesting...my first river fishing lure was also a floating Rapala. Black back, silver sides, 2 3/4 inch size. Caught my first 20 inch smallmouth on it. Now I don't even carry them.

bfishn Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Purple worm purple worm Purple worm. To be more specific, a snelled Creme purple worm with the blade & beads. It's easy to be the confidence bait when it's the only bait you got for 5 or 6 years. I can't dance like I used to.
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Crank telephone.....safer then dynamite and quieter...........didn't have to worry about any thing catching on fire......always got a limit Generally though the only ones you could get a hold of were the small ones, the bigger ones didn't stay up long. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
LittleRedFisherman Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 As a boy, a black and silver jointed rapala. Now a 5 inch senko.. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
LarrySTL Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Lake lure, the old large cigar-brown metal lipped Bomber; I still know the catalog number, # 623. http://intervenehere.com
