This tournament is wide open. A person can win this thing shallow or deep, it will be interesting to see what the weight will be.

My Bro Dove Beaver over the weekend and he said there was no visible thrmo or temp change until about 40 ft and it was just a "Muck thick muck layer"

KVD and Don Butler both won classics with less than 20 pounds for three days of fishing. It could be that type of tournament.

Wanting to fish this tournament so bad!!! I'll throw my money in one of these days! Lots of good fisherman and it would be exciting. Hope to see a guy like Stacy or Kelly win it. The river arms are pretty darn good right now so I would think that would really play to a guy like Kelly's strengths, he's pretty tough to beat when the James is on.

At least with no established thermocline it will be a real fishing derby instead of a contest to see who has the best waypoints for drop shotting/spooning isolated deep trees. With the fish scattered like they are, a guy who comes up with a strong pattern is going to be the one to beat.
