Members Butthead Posted December 15, 2013 Members Posted December 15, 2013 I wish I could take you up on your offer laker67 but my rat is gone. I found it last week and had it out in the machine shed while I was making a shipping box for it (I figured wettinline would be contacting me soon). My boy saw it and without asking, jammed two welding rods through the dang thing and attached four little wheels. Pried it's mouth open and tied on a string and then gave it to his daughter to use as a pull toy. My little granddaughter was running down the lane with the rat bouncing along behind when the dog apparently thought that Emmie was being chased by some rabid animal. Snooker caught the rat and by the time he was done, there wernt enough left that I felt like I could make a fair trade. Sorry.
bfishn Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 That's hilarious! You can't make that stuff up! I can't dance like I used to.
Quillback Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 HAHA that's great! - I hope Snooker didn't get indigestion from eating that stuffed rat.
Members Butthead Posted December 17, 2013 Members Posted December 17, 2013 Thanks for asking about Snooker, Mr. Quilback. He isn't the smartest dog, but he is sensitive and Emmie was a little harsh on him for tearing up her toy. All in all it worked out pretty good. The salt and chemicals that I used to tan the rat hide seemed to work as a wormer on old Snooks and when the cotton ball stuffing passed, it kind of wiped him clean.
laker67 Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Dang, I was kinda hoping to trade with you BH. Wettinline has contacted me twice about selling my brown trout, but I really had my heart set on that norway rat. Glad to hear that snooker is ok. My buddy Harv caught a big old drum while we were crappie fishing yesterday. We always throw them drum up on the bank for the buzzards to eat on. I got to thinkin that maybe, if I can get back to it quick enough, that I will cut the fins and tail off of it, and glue them on my brown trout. If It had fins and a tail, I think someone would pay top dollar for it.
Members MarkinKC Posted December 17, 2013 Members Posted December 17, 2013 Eating my lunch while reading this string and choked on my food. Too funny!
WettinLine Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 I think you guys like viewing your own posts, it must be the southerness in "youal", but I guess I'm guilty of reading it.
WettinLine Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 I guess I'm confused about this forum, I was thinking that you post an item or wtb an item and others reply with stuff related to the original post. Guess I was wrong, its more like Facebook or show n tell, with giggles, lols, and lmao!

I'd rather read this then a bunch of dry, humorless nonsense.
WettinLine Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Agreed but the endless rant is kind of annoying, or the post of someone telling you what they have, but they don't want to sell it, that kind of bs.
