Reminds me of a trout farm story. Got up one morning to find lightning had killed off my raceway of 4-7lb brood fish. Most went to the smoker, but I froze about 15 of the prettiest hook-mouth males for a friend that was learning taxidermy. As he'd complete one, I'd hang it in the bait shop for sale. Sold them all but one over the next couple years, mostly to WM suits to hang in their offices. Several had me toss them their mount so they could say they 'caught it'. One paid extra for a good story.

Still have one, but I'm kind of attached to it.

I can't dance like I used to.

Shoot fire Mr. Wettinline, sure didn't mean to get your boxers in a bunch. You seem about as frustrated as a bull fenced in next to a field of heifers. I was probably rambling "off topic" when I was asked about Snooker, but if a fellow asks me a friendly question about my dog I had to reply. I can understand you wanting to fix up your lake place real nice with stuff so I'm going to try and help. Something has been bothering the chickens, most likely a skunk or a possum, so I set out some traps and if I catch it I'll fix it up for you. Just in case the traps come up empty, one of the barn cats is feeling puny - don't know if Snooker roughed him up or if its got distemper. Either way, when or if the cat dies I'll make a mount for you. I was thinking about having it rearing up on its hind legs with its tail all poofy like and then pinning its lips back in a big old snarl. I figured you could relate to this pose.

I most deeply and sincerely apologize for participating in the thread hijack by asking about Snooker's health. I have a soft place in my heart for dogs and I was genuinely concerned Snooker might have had a severe case of indigestion after consuming a stuffed rat. A very old stuffed rat. But it sounds like Snooker is in fine feather and gotten back to his job of harassing cats.

On a serious note, I have a 10 or 11 pound largemouth that my great grandpa would have caught. The mount is in decent shape, its got a chip in its tail and its lost a little of its shine. If you want it, you can have it.

Umm, well, so, I generally don't condone "grammar police" type of behavior on the internet, but this is something I care about.

It's "Y'all". A southern english conjunction of the the words "You" and "all".

Not "Ya'll"

That's the only thing in this thread that I really take seriously.

You are correct. I didn't proof read as I should have.

My apostrophe typing finger appears have gotten a little excited and jumped the gun.

Please give my sincerest apologies to the Queen.

Wettinline,
