hknfsh Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Sick of all these phony politicians !!! They don't represent any of us. They don't listen or care about anything you have to say. It's all about control and it will get worst !!! I say my $30 user pass is my ramp access paid in full whether anyone is on duty or not. And my taxes are paid.....so get out of the way !!! Let's fish and the hell with them ! It's our land and water ! Make a stand gentlemen !!!!
Members basscat123 Posted October 4, 2013 Members Posted October 4, 2013 Suppose we can get a 5 dollar refund off of our annual launch tax oh I mean "pass" every time we launch while the park is "shutdown"? Just a thought
Members basscat123 Posted October 4, 2013 Members Posted October 4, 2013 Campbell point ramp is like the Diamond City ramp. Each side of the ramp has big shot rock for your launching pleasure also. Dumb idea especially when the lake is at or above 916 which is the New normal. Hard on trailers, tires and props. In the past under higher water levels launching there wasn't a big deal however that isn't the case today.
fishinwrench Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 They can close a gate or ASK you not to use an access, and they might ASK you to leave if you're there when they arrive. But from what I can find out so far that's pretty much it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
9LB Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Comical, im going fishing. This budget was fine when the mormon ran for president on it. McCain for prez
Feathers and Fins Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Glen, they can tow your vehicle including trailer and then when you find its gone and pull up cite you for trespassing if they want to be complete jerks criminal trespass and bar you from the property. Talk about a true kick in the butt, Our fathers grandfathers paid for most these properties to be built and we pay now for them to be maintained but we can be cited for being on what we paid for and even bared from being on what is our property. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

But from what I can find out so far that's pretty much it. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Correct. None of the closure announcements even mention enforcement, violation, or prosecution. While it's unwritten, the closures are obviously a measure of protection from liability. If left open but unattended, any "Lucky" could slip on peepee and sue. I can't dance like I used to.
fishinwrench Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 F&F, They can write all the tickets they want, but no signature is required unless you just WANT to mail in some money. No way they'd tow a vehicle, that would have to be authorized, and it couldn't be done before a guy out fishing would be back loading his boat. Besides, that would be intentionally stranding a guy on the water.....I dare them to!
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Correct. None of the closure announcements even mention enforcement, violation, or prosecution. While it's unwritten, the closures are obviously a measure of protection from liability. If left open but unattended, any "Lucky" could slip on peepee and sue. Unattended? Who attends to them? This is pure reprisal, nothing more nothing less. I'll bet the bank that the Taney county sheriff would say leave the ramps open, we'll respond to emergencies. When the MDC wanted to shut down all the 2 tracks in the Beaver creek bottom because they couldn't respond to trouble he said just that, "Call us", the MDC dropped the plan. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
bfishn Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 My bad, I was referring to the park closures in general, not the ramps in particular (which aren't even mentioned in the closure announcements I was talking about). I can't dance like I used to.
