It is strange, but in Missouri the state parks group is not a part of the MDC. They are a different agency. Not sure why that is but i am sure it will be fine and the place will be great to visit, once it is available.

Did they keep the LSD concessions going, or is it gonna be like all the other boring conservation areas?? :D

Ness, LMAO !!!

I guess it's nice to have as a SP, but man what a rotten underhanded way to score some land. Typical. Have they ever actually PAID for any state park tracts, or do they just sit and wait for opportunitys to sieze them.

" Originally opening in 1929 as a youth camp,Camp Zoe provided opportunities for thousands of young people to connect with the outdoors. Missouri State Parks has looked to acquire the property for several years, recognizing its beauty and the potential to give visitors even more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful part of the State."

So they admit to having their sights set on it for quite some time?

Shouldn't be boring. I suspect they'd assign an agent or two that's well versed in the various shroom species. (Yee-Haw... lets go cliff diving in Sinking Creek!)

Yes, the whole affair stinks. A state perk that we shouldn't be proud of.

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

Nice to see the land won't being going into a private development. Maybe people will get to enjoy it. Still, it was gained in a heavy handed, authoritarian fashion I just can't stomach. Let the darn hippees be!

Well if it were a state park it would be well patrolled, but the MDC isn't as diligent.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

If there was a big drug problem there that may the reason for the change. I am not real sure of this but i did not think that state park rangers had the the same authority as officiers of the law as a conservation agent does. Is that true.
