Quillback Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 24/7, I've always heard the cold, cloudy, windy days are the best, but I'm too much of a wuss to fish in that stuff. If I have to chip ice out of my line guides, I'm not going fishing.
hknfsh Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Nice fish QB. That was a toad in the rod pic huh ?
Quillback Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Nice fish QB. That was a toad in the rod pic huh ? Yes sir, it's getting to be that time of year, the fishing is tough but chances improve for getting a big fish.
powerdive Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 You've put your time in and earned your catch, QB. Because of your dedication, I truly believe you'll stick a monster soon. Of course, it'll probably be caught trying to eat the one that's struggling on the end of your line...

I have lost salmon to sealions and seals, but have yet to have a big bass grab a smaller one.

Quillback Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 That reminds me of that quote hat is attributed to Satchel Paige. "MInd over matter - if you don't mind, it don't matter."

The bass at LOZ don't get the sunlight penetration to give them color like the bass at TR do with the clearer water. I THINK that is how it works.
