Members Berk Posted January 15, 2014 Members Posted January 15, 2014 April 9, 2013. Caught a 7lb.4oz large mouth followed up 2 casts later with a 6lb.7oz. LMB. I was lucky enough to be fishing with my son at the time, but I still haven't topped his personal best. 9.12 I believe - caught on Taneycomo 20 years ago. Gives me something to shoot for.
Alex Heitman Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 The last week in February last year, I caught my PB LM on Table Rock in the dam area. It weighed 8lbs 10oz. It is the first pic below. A few weeks later I caught another big one from the exact same location. I didn't have a scale on me but I knew it had to be over 8lbs. It was 25" long. I think it was a just a little shy of my PB. I also caught my PB smallmouth last year in early fall. Did not have a scale on me at the time but I believe it was about 4 1/2 lbs. My previous PB smallmouth was caught in a tournament and it weighed 3lbs 15 oz. I am really jealous of all the big smallmouth that you guys have caught. I would trade my big LM for a 6lb smallie anyday.

I can attest to those monsters, I netted em & took the pics! Smartest thing we did that whole trip was put the first one in the livewell for a minute - no one would have believed you caught 2 that big that day. (Both swam off to fight another day 5 minutes after this picture was taken.) And you're close...mine was 9# 4oz...and it was 17 years ago this April.

Champ188 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 My ol' buddy caught this 5-pound SM on May 31, 2012. Bluff end in the mid-lake area on a Bass-X finesse jig (of course). Not sure of our biggest LM, although I do know that I weighed in a 6.74 in a Central Pro-Am derby a few years back caught on a Redfin. We've never weighed any of our bigger spots, and while we've crowded 4 pounds on several occasions, I don't think we've ever topped it.
Quillback Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Too many big fish pics.. I'm starting to break out in a cold sweat...I feel a case of fishing fever coming on...I just wish the dang weather would warm up - Sunday is looking good!
96 CHAMP Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 may 6 1993, 7.8 on that black spinner bait at 1 a.m. in the morning in big creek feb 1993 7.12 on black and silver rouge across from point 19 at mouth of mill creek are my 2 personal best
Ealy Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 My personal best KY was a 4.67 weighed in a Central Pro Am December tourney. We were ledge fishing steep bluffs in the White River arm. Here's a pic of probably my biggest Table Rock LM from last Spring. No scales that day! Several smallies over 4, but no exact weights.
Champ188 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 A 4.67 spot is a fine fish. They are my favorite species.
Sore Thumbs Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 5.1 smallie 2 LM right around 5lbs 50 lb Wahoo . Right by the dam. You can see big paddle boat in the back ground. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
