Moswimb8slinger Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 And I actually catch most of my fish in less than 10ft of water most of the time
Sore Thumbs Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Just ordered a BBZ 1. 6 inch slow sinking in Blue Herring. Gonna give it a try. If i can't get bit on it at least i can draw some out and follow up with a jerkbait. Thanks for inspiring me to spend more money.Ha
Moswimb8slinger Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Went Wednesday after work, had 4 missed fish before a worn rod eye decided to cut my in the middle of a cast and lost the BBZ1Jr slow sink. Today went out by poverty point, tried a few different things but they wanted the S-waver 200 today. The 2 biggest were smallies, 20 and 19.5 inch, I weighed the 20 and it was just short of 4lbs. Another black bass trifecta too, 2 Kentucky's (16.5 inch each), a 18 inch largemouth, andthen the ppreviously mentioned smallmouth. Had several hits and misses too
Old plug Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 THUMBS----- It has a rated sink of 2 ft every 3 seconds but that will vary by water temprerature and line test and type. practice with it a lot to gwt the most out of it, Watch how it reacts to twiches jerks and different pulls. Sometimes you can make it look like a dieing fish trying to swim then stop it and it will sort of hang there in a arch like you see Shad do when they are dieing.
Sore Thumbs Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Yeah Plug. I've been watching videoes about rod and line size. Tutorials on how to use it and how to make it move different directions. I threw a bbz 4 inch shad some today. No takers.
Moswimb8slinger Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 One of my favorite videos is "Do you remember your first swimbait fish" where Bill shows a guy what to look for, structure, casting angles, color changing, etc
