Yes. They are awfully close. Closer to a wart of 1997 vintage or so vs. a really old wart. My Mark I eyeball tells me they might be just a bit "beefier", in terms of lip thickness, type of plastic. Have not put calipers on them to check for variance (but that is possible as they are out with my rod building box currently). Slightly different sound vs. super old warts.

Colors are closer to the old warts than the Rapala "original" versions.

On the whole...seem closer than the current offerings from Rapala.

Thanks Dave. Sounds like I need to pick up a few of the Brad's. I noticed the colors are great.

Bomber Flat A deep will clean that wart up when it is super cold, Table Rock or LOZ. Like 38-40 degrees cold.

Please stop mentioning lures that I do not have and then adding that they will work on TR. Must.......resist.....urge....TO PURCHASE! :blur:

I have heard that about the bomber flat A's. I watched a good video on it on wired2fish. I found some flat warts the other day in my dads box, do they compare to the flat A? Or should I look into buying the flat A. I have a hard time slowing down anymore than normal winter fishing but with the cold winter we have it looks like the water will stay cool for a while. At least with a flat A you can feel somewhat faster pace rather than a slow technique such as jerkbait or jig.

Flat A is like fishing a slooow jig. Wind it down then crawl it along with the tip. Especially good on swing ends & first few boat lengths into the cuts/coves off the ends up the rivers. Flat wart does not have the same tight wiggle, seems like the Flat A will hang more. Definitely not a chunk and wind bait.

V-210 watermelon- paint or keep as is??

I have 2 of these, with clear bills, was thinking of putting them in my pile of warts to be custom painted, but I see they are a pretty popular color. What conditions/watercolor are you guys that use the v-210 throwing them in?

I like phantom green in clear water, the natural green craw or green craw in stained water, and the brown craw or V-209 in muddy water or on cloudy days, though I'm throwing my custom painted baits more than stock colors these days- PBJ in a wart is a killer for me-

Watermelon works whenever fire tiger will. Have caught a bunch of fish on it in March above Cape Fair-Flat and up. There are some shad colors- blue back comes to mind-with clear bills that I would target for painters.

When does fire tiger work? I fish Bull Shoals mainly, don't think I've ever caught a bass on fire tiger, always try it a while then go back to a craw pattern. Maybe it's just a confidence thing for me, I'm not sure.

Works in the Kings and upper James when there is color. So will red craw, flo. red squiggle, & V38.

I fish the clearest water in TR which is the dam area and they don't seem to have a problem eating the V209 which has quite a bit of orange on it and is bright in comparison the natural craws or phantoms.
