Hazbin Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 well I am going to try that. i just bought a new BBZ-1 Junior. After what i paid for it I am thinking about saddling up one of 61/2 ft worm rods with something around that weight. The first time one of these bid long nose gar around here looks at it I might add a 3 inch steel leader to the front in top on top of that. I hope you got a good buy on that and one of those gar don't get ahold of it as they don't look exactly gar proof!. It will be a month or so before you can break all that lce. Is is snowing up there now??
Sore Thumbs Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 U guys ever palomared an A-rig? You gotta get it around all those swim baits. It can be comical.

Yup not a problem use to big salt water plugs so it only took a few seconds to figure out a rubber band made the A-rig nothing more than a big marlin plug. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Sore Thumbs Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 That would only make sense F-n-F. Which I don't have much of sometimes.
Feathers and Fins Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 LOL, Only took one of the 5 hooks for me to stop and use my brain the next time I went to tie it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 U guys ever palomared an A-rig? You gotta get it around all those swim baits. It can be comical. You need to leave a big loop to work those thing through, LOL.
Fishrman Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 try the Eugene Bend knot for fluoro, works good and easy to tie.
Old plug Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 i do not like conventional swim baits for the same reason i do not like These rigs they got to be cranked in. this BBZ os the baby model. it is 6 inches long. It also sinks slowly. that means I can do things with it in the retrieve. besides that a Multi hook rig sets up and lot of resistance and I cant retrieve that kind of stuff any,ore because of arthritis. I do not expect to catch a lot of fish on this thing but i expect to catch some 5 lbs on it. It is a alternate to my way of fishing very slow sinking 11 to 15 in plastic worms.
Moswimb8slinger Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Let me know what you think about that BBZ1 after you give it a try out on the water
abkeenan Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Let me know what you think about that BBZ1 after you give it a try out on the water Been looking at the 8" ABT Banshee but the beast weighs like 3.5oz. Might get one of those and a 6" SPRO BBZ1 to see which I like better.
