Dutch Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well I thought the Broncs were a shooin so I made a friendly wager on them at the party last evening. Only 3 people in the pool chose the birds. Needless to say there is no sure thing in this world. If I had been home I would have turned off the tube way before halftime.
Quillback Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Denver just didn't show up, one of those bad games that a good team has once or twice a year.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 3, 2014 Root Admin Posted February 3, 2014 We watched Danton Abbey during second half... that's about as bad as it gets!
Feathers and Fins Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 After that game Notre fans didn't feel so bad about what Bama did to them. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ozark trout fisher Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I honestly think a decent college team could have beaten Denver last night. Goodness. Not that Seattle didn't play well (they did) but it honestly wouldn't have mattered if it were the Jacksonville Jaguars-they still would have lost. The nerves got to the entire roster and they imploded in every way imaginable.-everyone from Champ Bailey to Peyton Manning to Trindon Holliday. You lose playing like that against anyone, but against the Seahawks it was so epically embarassing that even as a diehard Bronco fan, my honest reaction to most of it was just to laugh. I mean, what else can you do your team has the best offense in NFL history and can't get a single first down until midway through the second quarter? It's going to be awfully hard to get excited for next season, even assuming Manning is back. Frankly, I don't know how you mentally come back from something like that and have a decent season the next year.
Lancer09 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I almost feel bad for Floyd Mayweather who put 10.4 mil on the Broncos..... Almost.
moguy1973 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I watch the Superbowl for the commmercials...and they just plain sucked. Too many feel good story type commercials and not enough funny ones. And they funny ones were just lame. The halftime show was actually good for once and relatively entertaining... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Dutch Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I liked the puppy and Clydesdale but the others were sub par and they were all over the tv when I was at the gym this am. The half time is a matter of preference. I couldn't watch it after the shirtless dudes crawled on stage.
Quillback Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Yeah I was disappointed by the commercials, a couple of heartfelt ones that were OK, but overall I'd rate it as one of the worst SB commercial wise I've seen. Anybody see that VW commercial where the VW engineers sprouted angel wings? WTH??
