There has been a little ice in the back of some of the pockets, but Table Rock including the ramps that are open is very fishable,as you can see by the bags that were weighed in last weekend.

I was over the Kings River yesterday and it was not frozen at the 86 bridge at Carr Lane and that is one of the freezest parts of the lake.

Can you get to Aunts Creek to launch, IE, are roads safe to pull a boat down to the park and can you get in and out on the ramp? Thanks for the help in advance.TR

Good to hear. I think we will go Saturday. Definitely too cold to play golf. Besides, it's hard to find that white ball in the snow and I'm too set in my ways to play one of those chartreuse ones.

Getting back to a previous thread I said I don't like to fish if it is below 45 degrees or so. Golf is much the same except I bump that up about another 15 degrees to about 60. Spring and summer had better be good to us for this punishment we have taken so far this winter and I am sure there is more in store for us. That frickin' Gopher and his shadow.

I mostly agree that golf is a warm-weather function, but my deal is this ... I have a super stressful job (quality control manager for a management-training firm) and the older I get, the more that my primary motivation to work is to be able to (1) eat, (2) have food and a roof over my head, and (3) PLAY. Donna can tell you that I will go apesh** crazy if I have to sit in the house more than one consecutive weekend, so we golf or fish pretty much every weekend year-round.

I'd like to be able to just vegetate some weekends like normal folks but it doesn't work for me.

Same way except during FB season, and then usually worn out from practice 3-6 days a week. Have basketball Saturday, will probably pour heads and work on rods right up until then. May go really stir crazy and make some RTV plastic molds. It is getting bad.
