Wayne SW/MO Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Nice. Vegetation, spring, in Missouri? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Guest Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I can tell you from experience that duck hunting waders will drown your butt. I'm lucky to be alive.
Guest Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 As soon as they fill with water, you're going to the bottom.
Flysmallie Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 As soon as they fill with water, you're going to the bottom. That would be scary. Breathables with separate boots get heavy but they won't pull you down. Â Â
Gavin Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Coldwater rescued my soggy wader clad self out of the river years ago. Wasn't an experience that I would like to repeat, but I don't think that I would have drowned.
Mitch f Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 There is a reason waders have belts! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Gavin Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Very true. A wader belt is a must in cold weather.
Guest Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I was an idiot 16 year old. A bag of decoys is the only reason I didn't drown. The fear is real
fishinwrench Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I have been over my head in neoprenes and the flotation properties work AGAINST you. You can't get your darn feet on the stream bed once you get to where you can touch.
