Old plug Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Rest Easy I am going to predict this us the last of winter we just went thru. something about the sun I think
rps Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 We had thunder sleet here of 1 to 2 inches, followed by about 6 inches of very fine/light snow. On Monday (today) some of it melted, but not all. Monday and Tuesday are no school days. That makes day 18 and Day 19 lost to snow. End day for school is now June 12.

Wayne SW/MO Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I saw today that Gov Beebe was questioning why Missouri roads were clear and Arkansas roads sucked. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Quillback Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 You should send that picture to Bebee, seriously. Or the editor of the Democrat Gazette. There was quite a dust up in these parts a couple of storms ago when on the MO side of 71 the road was bone dry, but crossing into AR the road was still ice/snow covered. The AR roads department tried to weasel out by claiming they were understaffed and underequipped, but after some research was done it turns out the MO road district had fewer people per mile of road and less equipment per mile of road than the responsible AR district. Oooops! 71/540 is clear, should you need to get to Fayetteville.

Wayne SW/MO Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 As I said, he was on TV asking that question. He knows! Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Feathers and Fins Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Don't worry Quill, they already have the excuse for next year built in. ( We had to divert funds from the county roads department to pay for Rural ambulance service because the people would not approve the additional taxes ) Boy when I saw they were diverting funds from roads to that I knew it was the new excuse. It is called punish people for not giving them more tax money. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
