This.

It's Why I avoid Taney during the day, and especially around the outlets.

I like catching fish as much as everybody else but fishing the outlets isn't worth it, for me at least.

I do not see any shame part to it. It seems like a smart way to attract the fish. Unless it does environmental damage are hurts the trout it is fine with me. what about. those of. us who build crappie beds to attract crappie and bass. really the same thing.

Not the same, think chumming.

I don't shuffle, but the act is low on my list of aggravations. It's much easier to find the snaggers or discourteous fishermen and even a guide on rare occasions. Then there the picture sessions in the fall when a big fish is required to pose for with several people for 5 minutes or so. They are then sent belly up downstream, some surviving and some not.

Wayne Where is the conservation agents. Snagging is against the law. There a season for spoonbill but nothing else. It is almost impossible to catch a spoonbill in a sporting manner. I caught one one time tuning a plug. I think a wiggle wart that was not running straight. He must have swam into the line and the line crossed his bill and as I retrieved it slid up to that soft boney spot where it end by his head and hooked him.

Old plug it's a dicey situation and impossible to enforce more than likely. They thing is people are fishing a nymph in a runoff of current that is probably 10" deep and maybe 2' wide in the main current. The fish are trying to go "home" and they use this hatchery run off. The fish pack in so thick that it's impossible to avoid snagging them. It's really not fishing, you hang 3-4' of line out and follow a 4-5' drift over and over. The fish are most often snagged on the lift.

I feel like a agent should just ne checking and standing around watching it would be a determent. either that or close fishing in the area. I think the later would be the most effective. In. my view it is therefore illegal. amd someone should be pinching them for it. I would be even better if they were to shut the area off.

Dissin' a man in front of his kid is a good way to initiate a fist fight. Let your confidence be your master.

In the days of Conceal and Carry for everyone, anyone raising a fist should reconsider.

not in Ark or Mo. we do not ace anything like stand your ground. If you shoot a person that is attacking you with bare hands they will send you up for at least manslaughter.

Apparently snagging a game fish is not against the law, but anything other than the immediate release of the fish is. Illegal would include posing for pictures, or weighing or measuring. I am sure Wayne can recall the days of the fish being kept, no matter what part of the body the hook was located. Some of that still goes on today, but not so much as days gone by. My favorite story is one that Micheal Kyle tells. A 17lb brown was snagged and kept and the story was told to MK. When MK informed the guy about snagging being a violation, the guy quickly replied, "is it illegal even if its a state record ?"

In think it is. I thin unless the MDC specially authorizes a action then it is not allowed. I read somewhere where the regulation were meant to spell out what you can do not what you cant do.
