jdmidwest Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Seventy ish here yesterday. T Shirt and a hint of sunburn. We just hit the snow line here at noon today, rather chunks of ice in the raindrops. What a difference a day makes here in good ole MO. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
laker67 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Slushy and snowy here at loz. I should have cut down my persimmon tree at the lake. It was predicting a long winter. That sucker will be crappie brush next year, along with a dead groundhog.
Quillback Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 The ground outside is now snow covered, but the roads are only wet. Pretty darned windy to boot. And it's a cold wind. Grrrrr.....
Feathers and Fins Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 2.5'' Here in Rogers and still coming down, Streets are slushy and with temps tonight predicted to get in the low 20's with high winds they will be ice by morning. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 It's light here now, but it's hard not appreciate how unusual this snow is, it's sticking to every limb here. It's quite a sight that you don't often see. Everything is so white you can't see through the woods. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jerry241 Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 Just got to Cuba mo. Snowed on me since I left pea ridge roars not bad but lots of snow and really strong wind from the north...
bfishn Posted March 16, 2014 Posted March 16, 2014 There's a lot of water flowing through 30 and (tonight) 20 degree air. Probably shut the rivers off like a light. Shouldn't hurt the big water too bad. I can't dance like I used to.

jdmidwest Posted March 16, 2014 Author Posted March 16, 2014 Thats so pretty. Just when I was seeing a hint of green around here. Maples are blooming and Bradfords are about to. Easter flowers were blooming, they popped up and bloomed this week in the warm weather. Bees were bringing in pollen all week. I almost added some more boxes to a couple of hives, but waiting till later in the week. Lettuce is up. Looks like we are going to get an inch here, wind is blowing it away as fast as it hits the ground.
