Quillback Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 It snuck up on me, just realized the tourney starts in 2 weeks. April 3rd. Just looking at the long range forecast, cool weather next week, and 60's the following week, I'm thinking that the bass won't be on beds yet. So what do you guys think they'll throw? Who is your favorite to win? What weight to take it?
Stump bumper Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I betting this one will be won with a spinning reel, several good pros that live near that lake and betting on the home boys that know how to use small line and small lures. Spooning might bring up a few lunkers but I think the GA and FL guys will be lost in water below 50 degrees.
dtrs5kprs Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Sticks, jig, crankbait (not necessarily a wart), maybe a blade with wind and weather.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Jerkbait, grubs, jigs, wiggle warts, finesse, fluke, spinnerbait and swimbait should all be in play. I think it depends on where they are.
Members DAK403 Posted March 21, 2014 Members Posted March 21, 2014 The FLW College Tourney is tomorrow also. There are a few good stick in that tourney. As for the Elite i'm going to say Jigs.
J-Doc Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Brandon Palanuik....... He won on Bull Shoals. TR is in his wheel house. Fits his style. I think he has a great shot at it. Need I say more?? Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Sprint21fter Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Pre-spawn extravaganza!!! Depending on wind or fronts. If there is stable weather with some wind, jerkbait, spinnerbait, crank. Jigs will always catch fish on T-Rock. Finesse fisherman will catch their fish also. It will be won 15ft or less. They are going to hit the nail on the head. It will be exciting. I am wondering what the big fish of the tournament will be? 16-18lbs average will be close to the top. There will be 20lb bags caught. They will showcase why Table Rock is one of the top lakes in the country to come and fish. Looking forward to it. 70lbs plus will be the winner.
mixermarkb Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I don't know about a weight, but I think that Jason Christie, Edwin Evers, Brandon Palanuik, Jonithan Van Dam and Fred Roumbanis are all fishing on the last day. Will be a fun one to watch...
