dtrs5kprs Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Nice report thumbs. I was tearing them up in a 5xd in that color. I've looked everywhere online and cannot find anymore. I think they stopped making it. It is hard to find a deep crank in a good craw color. Seems like the market is for shad and chartreuse colors. The Bandit ledge is similar to the regular SK5, and has a similar color plus a red craw. Also Norman makes the DD14 in several good craw colors, but you pretty much have to order them from their site. No one carries them.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 23, 2014 Author Posted March 23, 2014 Yeah I have been trying to find Strike King 5 in Tomato Craw. Almost impossible to find right now.
Alex Heitman Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Yeah I have been trying to find Strike King 5 in Tomato Craw. Almost impossible to find right now. What color is that? I've never seen strike king have a tomato craw.
bluebasser86 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Yeah I have been trying to find Strike King 5 in Tomato Craw. Almost impossible to find right now. Is it possible you're looking for it by the wrong name? If it's the color in the picture you posted, that's green tomato. I don't know why it's called green tomato, but that's what it's listed as everywhere I found it. The series 5 is hard to find in that color for some reason, http://mondotackle.com/item/P007000180000230.html http://www.landbigfish.com/StrikeKing/Strike-King-Pro-Model-Crankbait.cfm In my search I found another, similar color, along with several other interesting color schemes in a version of the Series 5 aimed at walleye anglers. http://www.basspro.com/Strike-King-ProModel-Walleye-Crankbaits-Series-5/product/1310190651301/
Members Jozark Posted March 24, 2014 Members Posted March 24, 2014 Thumbs In one of your photos it looks like you have either a yellow or white rod on deck, and I was wondering if it was a yellow fiberglass blank? I have been looking for the old yellow lamiglas rods for cranking, and was wondering if that might be one.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 The name is green tomatoe. My bad. The rod in the picture is a Skeet Reese S-glass cranking rod. Very flimsy. Not the greatest quality though.
fishingaddiction Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Thanks for the upper white report thumbs. Love the pic of the nice K, and the ice cream cone from Garfield is the bomb. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
