Bill Babler Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 If these guys are burning that much gas they aren't throwing jerkbaits. To me this boils down to who can make the most casts in a day with there favorite crankbait in the dirtiest water. Mix in a jig every now and then and ya get the trophy. Got a feeling you are pretty right. I however tried to see every picture of the fish they were holding. For sure the most pic's were with a jig in the fishes mouth. Did see a spinner a swimmer and a crank or two also. Right off the bat however there was a picture of a guy fishing the rip-rap at Eagle Rock bridge. At full tilt from State park and if you then run up the Kings away, you are going to use 50 gallons on the deal, or very close to it. From Ahoy's to Roaring River a couple of weeks ago I ran over 30 g. thru the 250 merc running at a comfortable 72 mph, without really cobbing and gutting it at 76. Those boys are cobbing and gutting. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Could be if they were really hopping specific spots with the stick...single brushpiles, individual trees, bluff ends, etc. My ride is 9 years old this spring, and I probably have not run 200 gallons through it, including break in. I'm super slow.
Bigmo Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Has anyone noticed Stacey King was not on the leaderboard or did I miss him on there? I thought he still fished the Bassmasters. Just wondering.
Quillback Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Stacey does not fish the Elite series. And that's too bad, I'd like to see him out there this week.
jmes Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I believe Stacy fishes the FLW Tour but I'm not a 100% sure
J-Doc Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I believe Stacy fishes the FLW Tour but I'm not a 100% sure He does. Been doing rather well last few years too. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
jmes Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Just got off the phone with a friend of mine and he say that they catching a lot of fish this morning. Just got off of the Bass Website and it look like several guys already have there limit. Dang and I have to work
Quillback Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 There's a pic of Mark Davis holding what looks to be a 4 -5 lb. fish that he picked up today.
fishingaddiction Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Based on the pic's on the current blog, the crank (wart) bite looks to be on. Lot's of bass with warts in there mouth. Hey Quill, Does Davis have a limit yet? If I had to pick someone to pull for it would be him. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
Quillback Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 I saw something in the blog that mentioned Davis was having a good day, but it did not say if he has a limit.
