I like around the 3 min mark where one of the baits was not running correct and the bass still hit it. I always wonder if they will hit it if it is not running correctly. A couple of the ones at the end looked like he was just holding it directly below the boat and the were schooling around it.

Really give you a different look at bass activity.

thanks.

Ya there were a few things that I found interesting about this video. One is that it yet again kinda blows the thin/low vis line thing out of the water since this guy is running a frickin camera (with some sort of home make custom harness if you read the comments he posted below in the comment section on the youtube video) about 5+ feet in front of his A-Rig. Fish don't give a crap that there is a contraption tied in front of another contraption. Two, a few times they hit the top 2 baits when attacking from behind and I thought most of the time the would hit the 2 lower or 1 middle bait. Three, you can see when one decides to commit that the other fish get the green light so to speak and lose all reservations about not attacking and just go into a feeding frenzy. Four, like ProCraft mentioned at the end of the video he had the rig straight down vertically working it like a drop shot and was still drawing strikes.....makes me think back to Mike Webb catching that 11lb'er last year supposedly seeing a fish on his graph and dropping it down vertically to it and bringing up the kraken. Food for thought.

very interesting film. the thing that comes to mind for me gets back to all those that profess invisible line. you can see all the wires and hardware on that umbrella rig as plain as day. many of the bass are following for quite some time before taking a swipe. don't you think they can see all the wires just as easily as your line, but yet they still are striking it. i believe i will still continue to use florescent line that i can see.

Kind of think the attraction of the A-rig overwhelms the line/wire visibility issue. The line deal on other baits may be more a question of achieving proper lure acion vs. visibility.

Don't think I will be tying a smoke grub on 50# braid anytime soon, but would tie it straight to 20# braid, because the diameter will not affect action. In fact, I just spooled a "test" rod for the little rig, and have it tied straight to 8# power pro. Diameter is equiv to 1# mono. If they can see that, I am out. I sure can't see it against any background.

Probably one of the coolest videos ever....my first thought was....wow...he cant hook up on any of those fish to save his life, then i saw in the comments that he cut all the hooks off except for one. Its really cool to see fish chasing a bait in action. I dont know who mentioned it but its true when 1 fish commits then all bets are off. Often times when I troll, ill stick a 2inch nunguesser (sp?) spoon on a 3 way swivel with a leader thats about twice as long as the crankbait leader. The fish see the crank...start to chase it....then they notice that little spoon right on top of their head, double up quite often cuz that first strike starts the feeding frenzy. At least thats my thought process of why it works. Thanks for posting though...super cool!

you could probably save money on 65lb braid if you just switched over to nylon rope...or even a small steel chain. ;)
