Jerry Rapp Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 if folks want a good fight, then they should target carp more. They are game fish in Britain and Europe. Lots of science goes into catching them over there. They have their own "ned" rig contraptions to catch them.

Seth Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 That's pretty cool! My buddy snagged on in the top fin while crappie fishing at Flat Creek a few years ago and we chased it all over the place with the trolling motor before he finally landed it. He caught it on some $20 cheapo combo he had just bought at Walmart and it pretty well fried the reel after catching that carp LOL. His was only half the size of yours though.
snakem Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 My dad when we lived in Virginia he would take me out on the Potamic River for those big carp. We would tight line like you do catfish, the secret was he made up dough balls with sugar pops . We would catch 25 pounders what a fight
Buzz Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Yep, great photo and fish. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Guest Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Another victim of the Ned rig. I love those bonus fish. That BPS line must be a good value, I'm surprised you landed that size fish.
