Sac River Jim Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 some my biggest bags have come off a blk/red flake paca craw but again its the bait i have the most confidence in.
Sore Thumbs Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Try a black Zoom Mag ii worm. 3/8 oz tungsten weight insert one of those small clear rattles inside the worm. Do that with flouro line. You will have a loud bait with tons of feel. Had a lot of luck with that last year. Missle Baits Tomahawk worms work good too.
Old plug Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 i expend a loy of my bass fishing effort in catching big bass. I target Lunkers. It is not a daily thing but when you catch them it makes it all worth it. in the process I catch many every year over three. I find it hard to believe that almost all bass 3 lbs and larger would just inhale that net rig all the way into there gullet before you could blink your eye. I do not use anything that small in my quest anyway. But I am sure it would be a problem if I did
bluebasser86 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 No kidding. The black spinnerbait guys are definitely a different breed. Black blade, salt craw, 10" worm, black hair jig. Might try the Ned, think it could be scary art night. We actually caught a bunch of smallies, along with a bunch of crappie, whites, drum, cats, and a few walleyes on a Ned in the dark last year in a KS lake. Craws and baitfish don't put out anymore vibration at night and bass still manage to find them.
Josh Holt Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Black blue jig, salty craws and brush hogs and worms gets it done for me everytime.
