Wayne SW/MO
Okay, let me get this straight, you are upset about lead ammo being restricted and don't feel that automatic weapons should be restricted in their availability and possession? Lead ammo has been proven to be detrimental to certain waterfowl, while automatic weapons serve no purpose to the civilian. the problem with lead ammo isn't about waterfowl, that's a federal restriction and it was easy to find substitutes. The same doesn't apply to big game loads in rifles. As far as automatics go they can't regulate them anymore than they already have. It's the restrictions on guns that look like automatics that are ridicules. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
drew03cmc
They shouldn't ban guns with the appearance of being an automatic without verification first. Anyone who is mechanically inclined can take an AK platform weapon and replace the necessary components to make it an automatic weapon. I have no problem with automatics being restricted to military or something along those lines. Why does a "Crocker" need access to a automatic M4? Is it to defend himself against the government and their jets and drones? Andy
Feathers and Fins
Did I miss something with Crocker? Did he posses a "FULLY- AUTOMATIC" M4 or was it just an Automatic? Big difference between full and semi! And if he did posses a Full auto did he have a permit for it? If so then there is no law broken there. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

It's not always been effective relying on laws to dictate what law abiding citizens can and cannot do. When the last time you heard of an assault in this country using a full automatic weapon? I was under the impression that Crocker had a handgun? Either way he could have just as easily used a shotgun. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman. Automatic weapons have the option for either semiautomatic fire or automatic fire. In some instances, there is an option for burst fire. There is NO difference between automatic and fully automatic. You seem to think there is, yet that reveals your lack of knowledge. Wayne, you are correct in that he didn't have an automatic, rather a handgun per the information I have seen. Somewhere someone mentioned automatics and something along the lines of certain states' bans on weapons of certain types. Andy
Feathers and Fins
Drew I have shot MANY full-auto's from Thompson's to an MG34! I also have shot numerous semi-auto rifles and own several ( semi's). There is no way on Gods Earth or any other Galaxy I can put the volume of lead downrange in the same amount of time with a Semi-Auto that I can with a Full-Auto it is IMPOSSIBLE! Hence BIG DIFFERENCE between the two types. A full auto you pull the trigger one time and it don't stop till its out of ammo or until you let go. A semi-auto you pul one time it shoots and rechambers another round then you have to pull again. Now either you did not read the question and only browsed it or you do not understand what I asked. I thought I made it as simple and clear as possible, (1) Did Crocker have a FULLY AUTOMATIC M4? Yes or No simple answer. (2) If he did have one did he have a permit for it? Yes or No or you don't know. I DO NOT recall reading anywhere about Crocker and a Full-auto M4 so that is why I am asking how that got brought up all reports said were PISTOL. Simple questions really. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
drew03cmc
If you use your vast amount of hillbilly comprehension, I initially asked why "Crocker" needed access to one, not him specifically. Obviously you can't read. You also asked if he had a FULL AUTOMATIC M4, or was it just an automatic implying you either can't read (common theme here) or didn't know the difference. You couldn't comprehend using his name as a reference point for all backwoods vigilantes rather than speaking of him directly. You skimmed my last response and missed the last little bit. Someone, somewhere mentioned automatic weapons and their regulation pertaining to certain states banning modifications to weapons and automatics in general. My comment on that was to illustrate to the audience here that the public doesn't need to access automatics at all. This is the crux of our situation here. Keep on selling whatever expertise you are selling and I will continue to ignore it. Ciao. Andy
Feathers and Fins
If you had read my very first question let me make it again very clear for you Did I miss something with Crocker? I would not have come back with my knowledge of weapons! Instead you just have to be an butt and not simply give an answer like ( No FNF I was just asking he only had the pistol ) But instead you cannot just answer a simple question. I even went on in my last post to state the only weapon mentioned was a Pistol! That is the reasoning behind the first question and to why I was wondering about your conversation about an Automatic M4. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
SmallyWally
Drew, have you thought of running for a Democratic position in your local state government? Think you could do well for them.
