Property Owners Vs Floaters And Anglers

Time to back off of Justin. He's one of the good guys -- you douche bags need to simmer down and look at the facts. Making a buck within the system is a good thing. Think about that for a second....what's the alternative???

Don't blame Justin for the drunken masses -- blame the drunken masses.

Justin, I've never met you, talked to you or used your business. Heck I've never even floated that river. But I know some people in Springfield that used to go to Sunburst for a big party weekend every year. Now they go some place else. Not sure what happened there but knowing that crew it only assures me that you run a respectable place. These are not the type of campers you want.

You are not the problem these guys are talking about. They might be taking it out on you but they have zero knowledge about what you do. Don't take it personal.

I have no doubt that Sunburst would be the kind of place that I would take my family. I can't say that about any of those trashy rivers close to St. Louis. Maybe it's just the people from that area that are the problem.

Good luck getting a floater permit system passed in this redicilous state. Not saying it's necessarily a bad idea but it will never happen. Too many businesses involved.

Not all rivers are like the Meremec or Niangua during the summer, there are varying degrees of crazy, do your research ask questions and everyone can find a place that suits their needs. Sorry if you have to drive more than 2 hours to find it. And as annoying as the drunks are they don't effect the resource like jetboaters or fishermen.

Some of us try to be proactive in addressing a problem! Might not be suggestions you agree with, but at least some are trying to be proactive in changing the mentality of a wholesome activity that's been hijacked to resemble Washington avenue on water! It doesn't matter, it's all about the Benjamin's! Right J?!?

Guilty, Second Degree Murder.

http://www.stltoday.com/news/state-and-regional/missouri/jury-finds-property-owner-guilty-in-river-shooting/article_200f13aa-9901-52fb-947e-102b97ec049e.html

Does not look like any river right of way issues were even brought up. That part still looms in limbo and will remain the same little fuzzy gray area. Of course, that part was not on trial.

Good, now that the verdict is in & the evidence sifted through, he's been found guilty and now he must pay! I hope his life is a struggle from here on out! He deserves it! And I feel comfortable saying this because I was patient and that is what a reasonable person does! Use patience to author an opinion at the right time and we are here! NOT the last few months to use it as a crusade and you know who you are!

All about the benjamins in the summer and then having the river all to myself for 6 months, looks like someone has it figured out.

Truth of the matter is, if you want to shoot a trespasser, you better have some witnesses on your side when you do it. Your word against 50 drunks on a gravel bar will not hold up in court.
