BilletHead Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Funny how animals pattern us. We have a phoebe nesting on our downspout. Did not notice until the parents had began sitting. Did not have the heart to tear it down. So the parents follow me around too getting the bugs I stir up mowing. Still have the tick infested doe, the one with the heavy infested ear that sags. When she shows up the phoebes are waiting on the fence. They dart over and grab deer fly's that buzz her head, once and a while they grab a tick off her ear. Deer doesn't get upset just has a puzzled look like what was that? ness Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Inspired by your post, I bought a cheapie hummingbird feeder and hung it up in the yard. No takers yet, but I'm sticking with it. Fascinating little creatures. Nice shots Marty. Haven't seen butterflies sharing a feeder with hummingbirds before. John
Feathers and Fins Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I love um, still have the three baby cardinals from last year hanging around with no fear at all, occasionally they come sit under the porch when im there but nothing like my little buddy. Its amazing how some animals just take to house and know they are safe around the people at it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
