dtrs5kprs Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 A Lot of us are cancer survivors Dave. If it is really bad I just hope he does bot have to drag on and on. I have already made up my mind. If mine shows up somewhere else I am going to choose to check out. I am tired of all the surgery. In a few week or less my fishing season is going to end for the year. I am going to have a knee replacement Revision. In other words replace the replacement. this will be my 12 th surgery and that is enought for anyones lifetime. Hope it goes well for you. Will keep you in our prayers.
Billfo Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 It is really hard NOT to get bit on a watermelon SENKO (plain hook no weight) under boat docks or other cover. Good luck hope they have fun. It looks like I will get a few hours to fish out of SK in the next couple days. I figure to work when it storms and play when it doesn't. My son, who loves to fish, is bringing his girlfriend after work on Friday, who has never caught a fish, so is not very confident or enthusiastic. My son REALLY wants to get her bit. Frankly, I think he wants to marry her and hopes they can enjoy this as much as his mother & I do. What do you think? Ned Rig? Fluke? Spinnerbaits in the wind? Ill need to get home for a Sunday commitment so time will be short They are both fairly recently discharged veterans who saw more than any of us should. War brought them together and I hope fishing can help them get that out of their system. If she can fly, she should be able to handle a bait caster,I'm thinking. Feel free to pm me if you have some thoughts Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
Champ188 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I'm all about those patterns where the hardest part is not getting bit.
Quillback Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I'm all about those patterns where the hardest part is not getting bit. I'm still looking for one of those..

Members littlejasper Posted May 31, 2014 Members Posted May 31, 2014 Dave, been reading your post for weeks now. Most all of them mention the "Ned rig". I think everyone gets it by now. I am sure all appreciate your advice, and glad you contribute, but give Ned a rest. Now you post we are late to the party??? Come on. Been using it before you left Kansas! So have many others. Lots of different ways to catch em. The little worm is just one of many. Start talking about a grub or something......

Read past "Ned", and you will note a lot of other options were suggested.
