I had a half grown coon on my porch this morning. I'm not sure what was going on with him. I thought maybe he had distemper, and he may have it, but it must be early because he was full of piss and vinegar when I shooed him off the porch. We have a cedar that is probably an easy 50' and he went up 20' or so into it and settled on a limb to sleep.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Keep trying with the cat food. I've caught several that way. Closer to den the better.

Ha !

I'm telling ya..... this one isnt gonna fall for that elementary crap. This ain't no Wile E. Coyote we're dealing with here.

The only thing that'll stop him is a set of Firestone's.

He's lucky that I missed with the 12gauge last year, its a full choke & I got too close when I blasted the #4's.

This was on foot in the side yard as he was walking the fence row.

I snuck up on that dude & missed at point blank range.

Next time, he might get the 7mag from 40 yards, its sure to spread the aroma.

If I was going to shoot one with a rifle, it would be a .22 LR or .22 WMR. Might still spray but maybe not. They really don't move very fast and are no harder to kill than a cat but remember there is a lot of fur on them.

Toothy critters too. The most teeth of any mammal.

Did not know that. We have a constant stream of them through here, best fly deterrent there is.
