rps Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 After a tough trip out on Thursday, I did some forum reading. Today, an errand required me to go to the "big city/metroplex." Since I was there anyway, I stopped at Cabelas and at Hook, Line, and Sinker. (Try to name two other stops in one geographical area that surpass that duo!) See if you can guess what I am doing early tomorrow morning: Yes, I know I just bought them and immediately modified them. It's how I roll.
Quillback Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Very nice, looking forward to seeing the results.
Members tse90 Posted July 26, 2014 Members Posted July 26, 2014 So how do you think the new Magnum Spoon will do at TR? Got them to fish TVA lakes with but figured I'll see if I can't get anything going down here with them. After waiting a month since I ordered them they finally arrived today.
Quillback Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Well I'd say they are the opposite of finesse fishing. I'll e curious to hear if you have any luck with them.
Bill Babler Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Are the two top left Steel Shad? http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Members tse90 Posted July 26, 2014 Members Posted July 26, 2014 No not much finesse haha. If I can get anything going I'll make sure to take some pics and post them here.
rps Posted July 26, 2014 Author Posted July 26, 2014 Are the two top left Steel Shad? The old original Silver Buddy with the back hook removed and a change out of the front hook. I also added a snap. We used to vertically jig these for white bass and stripers in Lake Texoma and Keystone. They also make a decent rip bait.

I would imagine they will work. I just do not own the rod to throw them. Or an A-rig. Or a 10 inch long three piece swim bait. Some things are for young men.
