Champ188 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Thanks, guys. I guess my buddy is too consumed with her golf game to kick it around here on the forum. Not sure why, though, considering she stands a better chance of beating me in the boat than on the golf course. Tell you what happened ... she got spoiled when we were catching 50-75 a trip with 40+ keepers during that crazy spring bite a few months back. Soon as that tapered off, she grabbed up the golf clubs. Hate to "out" her like this, but she's a lot more about catching than fishing these days. It's a lot like guiding except I haven't had to dig any No. 2 treble hooks out of my seats yet.

Donna G Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Happy birthday. He's joining the ranks of grumpy old men. Joining the ranks of grumpy old men? What makes you think he wasn't there already? The grumpy part, not the old part. Could be my guide? Oh, and BTW, if they are on a jig bite I will kick your butt. No mulligans and playing it up in the boat, deer. He wishes his former guide clients were as special as me. He might not have given it up. haha Seriously, I hate summer fishing. Fish are flaky and there is way more recreational boat traffic than suits me. Plus, I'm getting too long-of-tooth and too blind-of-eye to enjoy night fishing. I'd rather concentrate on my golf game until fall. Love you, old man. Glad you had a special birthday. www.takemefishing....later.com Hey guys, why don't we have a friendly OA Rock derby this fall? Forum members and family members only. I think that would be fun. Have a reasonable entry fee and a cook-out after weigh-in. 5bites Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I like this plan. One other rule ... no fishing deeper than 15 feet. And we launch at eagle rock.
