jpb2187 Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I like using grubs on the screw-loc shakey heads. You can swim it if you want, cast it into cover if you want, rocks, etc. pretty versatile. Lose a lot less than using just an exposed jig hook. I have to use the bigger 4" ones though unless you can find shorter hooks.
Seth Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I always tie on an 1/8oz jighead with a 3" green pumpkin grub when i take my giance fishing with me. She has handed my butt to me more than once on numbers and nice bass. From now on, I will always have one tied on in case fishing gets tough.

I used almost the same setup a few weeks ago on the Gasconade. Except I added one of these. Those fish went nuts over it. That used to be my daughters favorite thing to throw. I was surprised that I could burn it back without it rolling with such a small jighead. I was also surprised that the fish wanted it fast. Middle of the day, 95 degrees, crazy.

5bites Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 I've been thinking a grub on a wobble head could be a fun combo to throw.
