Champ, I'm so sorry I assaulted your pet mink, you need to put a collar on him so I'll know he's a pet. I'll try and remember to bring him a milk bone next time I go.

QB, he likes those Beggin Strips best. The bacon-flavored ones.

The image of QB lashing out at a lil' bitty ole mink is worthy of TV. The "Like a good neighbor..." jingle would beam him safely into some dufus' insurance office.

20 years ago the mink on upper TR at night were populous and widespread. Their antics on the bank distacted me from more than a few bites. Not so much any more. To see them in the daytime suggests they're having a harder time now.

I can't dance like I used to.

I had a group of five river otters about 20 yards from me in little aunts. They had there heads sticking out of the water just looking at me, pretty neat. Then they went under and popped up again about 50 yards. They were probably as curious of me as I was them.

I told you that you need to start putting a gun in the boat. :)

I see them allot in the fall in the same spots, they aren't afraid of much, not even Wake boats scare them off the water.

Last year, catfishing off bank in Long Creek, had one come up to me and eat shad out of my hands, was nutz, he hung with me for an hour or so before scampering off, had no idea.
